Biography:
Dr. Saima kalsoom has joined Department of Chemistry, PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, 2022. She did her PhD from Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Her PhD work was based on “Computer guided design, synthesis and bio evaluation of immunomodulating agents”. Dr. Saima currently research interest includes Designing of new bio-active molecules using Computer guided modelling techniques, Modelling of small organic molecules, Proteins Proteinand Protein-ligand interactions, Ligand based and structure based pharmacophore designing, Computational chemistry, Virtual screening, Organic synthesis of small drug like candidates. She has established a research group for drug designing and development. A lot of free and licensed software are available for designing of bio active molecules in her lab. She has more than 60 international articles based on computer aided drug designing.
