Biography:
Dr. Patchornik earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel in 2002. He then held a postdoctoral fellow position at UCLA. In 2009, he joined the Dept. of Chemical-Sciences at Ariel University. His research group studies a simple-to-implement general platform for detection of biomomarkers at the zeptomolar (10-21M) concentration by directing hundreds of enzymes (or fluorescent proteins) to a single epitope on the biomarker thereby intensifying the resulting signal.
